Concrete Tank Inspection

Periodic concrete water tank inspection and studies to evaluate tank rehabilitation or replacement are greatly enhanced with nondestructive testing results. NDT uses sonic and ultrasonic measurements to provide a comprehensive testing of the tank concrete condition by determining the average concrete strength, identify locations with internal cracking and delamination, and provide an assessment of the severity of any cracking. We also use radar data in concrete tank inspection to identify moisture entrapment associated with cracking and delamination, voiding or settlement of foundation soils, as well as an assessment of the reinforcing spacing and cover.
