Nondestructive Testing Technician

For over 30 years, NDT CORPORATION (NDT) has provided innovative nondestructive testing services for evaluating all types of infrastructure materials including concrete, timber, steel, masonry, asphalt, soil and rock. NDT is a pioneer in the development of specialized impact energy generating equipment, customized sensor arrays to record retuning energy signals and analyzes the data via proprietary signal interpretation software. We are currently searching for a Nondestructive Testing Technician to join our growing technical staff in Sterling, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct nondestructive evaluation of infrastructure problems utilizing impact echo, ultrasonic pulse velocity and ground penetrating radar
• Conduct geophysical evaluation of foundations, soil and bedrock utilizing seismic refraction and vertical seismic profiling
• Assemble, maintain and troubleshoot testing equipment
• Collect, process, and interpret field data
• Technical report writing

• Basic knowledge of nondestructive testing methodologies
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Basic drafting skills

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. in Geophysics, Civil Engineering or another technical field
• 1 to 5 years of relevant nondestructive testing experience
• NDT Level I or Level II certifications preferred
• Construction experience preferred
• Capable of working in a standing or stooping position for extended periods of time
• Lifting of 50 lb.
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid US Passport

This position will require significant travel at times. A pre-employment background check including drug screening is required.
