Towers

Nondestructive sonic/ultrasonic and GPR measurements are used to determine tower foundation constuction (pad and pedestal or drilled shafts). Sonic/ultrasonic pulse-echo measurements are used to determine the depth of exposed tower footings. If footing lengths are less than 20 feet, GPR measurements are made along survey lines under the tower and beyond the footing to determine if there is a concrete pad and the lateral extents of the pad. GPR measurements can also be made on footings and exposed pads to determine the reinforcing spacing and depth of cover.
