Piles & Caissons

The length and integrity of piles and caissons are determined by the use of sonic/ultrasonic sounding techniques. We have tested concrete, wood, and steel piles to lengths of over 100'. Testing is usually performed from the surface but has been done in boreholes for large diameter caissons to look for voiding, slumping, cold joints, and necking.
